Safer Internet Day – 6th February 2017

Safer Internet Day was celebrated in Townley Grammar successfully. There were many activities including a giant Kahoot quiz in which many took part in and was great fun.

The whole point of this spectacular event was to inform the many students with social media about some of the risks and facts about the apps they use. Are they using it safe? Are they the right age to have it? Do they really know all their followers on Instagram? Statistics show that 7/10 users of Instagram don't know all their friends in real life. And Townley wanted to make sure that everyone plays it safe!

It was set up in the school hall where students could take part in quizzes writing tips on how to stay safe for others and just learning how to stay safe on the internet. “It was so much fun, I’d definitely do that again, I learnt so much!,” So with an amazing amount of students and teachers participating. Our Safer Internet Day was a great success!
