Townley Alumni include Baroness Valerie Amos, Director of SOAS - The School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London (Baroness Amos was appointed a Labour life peer in 1997 and was the first black woman to serve as a Minister in the British Cabinet and in the House of Lords), Zoe Smith, Team GB Weightlifter, Commonwealth Gold Medallist and European Bronze Medallist and up and coming actress Gillian Saker.
